The Colour Essences

The colour essences combined in the Tree and Mystical Mists are vibratory in nature; they do not have a visible colour but as solarized tinctures, they hold the therapeutic energies of the colour spectrum. The colour essences are made at a natural clearing in Platbos where an ancient, fallen white stinkwood tree makes a perfect alter for them to catch the sun’s rays. A quartz crystal further amplifies the sun light. The colour essences are additionally enhanced with sound energy – via chakra tuning forks – and blessings from the Archangels. These angelic beings are powerful, loving and non-denominational.

Crystal Essences

There are two crystal essences contained in this Mystical Mist. They were made at Platbos Forest from two Messina Quartz crystals. Interestingly, although acquired at different times, both crystals are in the “Abundance” crystal configuration: one main crystal with many smaller crystals clustered around the base. Further, each holds the complementary colour of the other: the azure blue of the Ajoite Quartz is balanced by the coral red of the Hematite Quartz. They are then mirrors of each other: the hematite connects us to the abundance of the Earth and the ajoite links us to the abundance of the spiritual realms.

“Platbos Lion” Fynbos Flower Essence

The Platbos Lion Fynbos Essence is made from a uniquely-coloured “Lion’s Ear” (Leonotis leonurus) discovered at Platbos in 2013 by Melissa Krige. Normally, the flowers of this medicinal shrub are a brilliant orange. In a newly cut fire-break, two shrubs were found growing side by side, facing the rising sun, and covered in prolific flowers the exact colour of a White Lion’s mane: a pale, tawny blonde. It is significant that these unique shrubs were found in the newly created fire break.

Whale Song Wisdom Essence

Whales are said to be the record keepers of all eternity; some say that whales and dolphins hold the highest level of consciousness on our planet. At the start of 2011, I dreamt of making a vibrational essence that would hold the energy, the spirit of the Southern Right Whales. I dowsed to check the details of how to go about it. I was guided to use both sea water and fresh water, and to include gem stones and a golden symbol of the ‘Flower of Life’. There were to be two gem stones, a turquoise: for protection and for facilitating communication from the heart, and a green and purple fluorite: for enabling the wisdom of spiritual awakening to enter the physical body and reside within the heart.
